In the google maps (or any map app) type Lake Hollywood Park and follow the direction. This is a great spot to park a car and have some good pictures as this is an official Hollywood sign view point. There is plenty of free parking on both sides of the street, and this is a great spot to start your “climb” towards the best view point in town. Street parking is allowed from 8am till 6pm, so after that time it is strictly enforced by parking “police”.

After spending few minutes taking selfies and some jumping pictures, follow this simple climb through Lake Hollywood. It takes 20-30min depending on your pace, but it is very easy walk via narrow streets. Be aware though that there is no official trail or sidewalk, and traffic is very busy as people actually do live here (so please be respectful).

Head up via Mulholland Drive, and make a RIGHT on Durand Drive, heading down, then make a LEFT on Heather Drive, with another LEFT on Ledgewood Drive, followed by sharp right on Rockcliff Drive heading up, then LEFT in Deronda Drive. At the intersection of Deronda Drive and Mulholland there will be a white wall with a metal gate (pic below), which is the official entrance to the Hollywood Sign vista point. There is area right in front of the wall where uber/lyft drivers usually drop passengers but reception here is very bad so you might not be able to get a ride back home.
