HO CHI MINH

We left Ho Chi Minh City as our last stop and were amazed how big and metropolitan this city was. We stayed in a Beautiful Saigon Boutique Hotel, a lovely hotel in a small alley, right next to all the bars and restaurants. Saigon is breathtaking, a wonderful combination of French architecture and grandeur and Vietnamese charm. If we thought the motorbikes were overwhelming in Hanoi, we were unprepared for a fascinating flow of motorbikes on streets of Saigon.

We had 2 days in Saigon, and the best thing we did was partner up with Detoured Asia and took a fabulous one day tour of the city. Taking a private tour with them with our guide Victor was an amazing experience and the best way to get to know this city and see the most important things in one day. The highlights of this tour include Thien Hau Pagoda, Notre Dame Cathedral, War Remnants Museum, Central Post Office and Cu Chi tunnels. The second day we went by ourselves to the beautiful Jade Emperor Pagoda, did some shopping and relaxing massages, saw a show, and started packing for our return home.
